Yummy!

Lindsey had a waffle cone maker so we had to try it out.  We all had a job in the assembly line!

Diners Drive-ins and Dives!

Joe and I love the show Diners Drive-ins and Dives and what we love more than watching the show is going to the places on the show!  We always check to see if any of the restaurants are close to our travels so when Joe found Terry's Turf Club we had to try it.

We had to wait for over a half an hour!  It was crazy busy and I didn't get any pictures inside because it was so packed.  The place was small and we had to split our party up so we didn't have to wait even longer.

It was really good but I didn't like the loud atmosphere.  It was a college hangout place and very busy and peanuts all over the floor!  Here is the DDD video link to check it out.

Ruff ruff

After the castle we needed to grab a few things at the store and they had these really funny balloon pets.  We had so many people looking at us especially when I got my camera out.

Crazy man's castle!

So after the caves we headed up to see my life long friend Lindsey.  We have know each other since birth and it has been way to long since we were able to hang out!  We went swimming at her parents house in KY then headed up to her house in Ohio!  The next day we thought we would let Lindsey and her adorable daughter Mae get a nap so Joe and I took the kids and Lindsey's sister Kylee to the castle that we saw signs for when we were driving the previous day. 

It turns out that some crazy man really liked Knights and castles so he started a club for him and his buddies.  Then he thought well Knights can't have a club without a castle... not really sure how many thoughts would be between those two.  So he built his castle!

Next stop mammoth cave!

We woke up REALLY early and took off to Kentucky to go to the Mamoth Caves.  We bought our tickets and jumped on the bus the the cave opening.

 Waiting our trun to go in it was really hot and sticky and we were anxiouse to get into the cool cave.

 Here was the door to go down into the cave.

 It started with TONS of stairs and an adorable little girl.

 A few times we all came together and they told us the history and lots of information about the trail we took.

 Right by the door to leave the caves were these little bats.  The kids were so excited to see them.

 Then as we left the parking lot we saw these two adorable fawns.

After 2 and a half weeks it was time to continue on our summer trip.  It was really hard to say goodbye we had such a wonderful time and did so much.  I forgot my camera so many times but we really enjoyed our hike in the woods, our many trips to the pool, getting Louisiana cuisine, playing cards every night, and much more!

I am so lucky to have such amazing parents and an awesome little sister to spend time with.  The last night it finally had cooled enough to sit on the front porch and enjoy each others company!

I hope we get to go out there again next year.  This was our first trip since they moved to LA.

Beignets

Well you can't go to Louisiana and not get a Beignet well at least not after seeing the "Frog Princess".

Kim and Landon

We were lucky we also got to spend some time with my sister Kim and her husband Landon too!  We went swimming.

 They even took all three kids on a 3 hour drive to their house and over night without me!  I know daring since they are pregnant with their first and they can't change there minds about having kids after a day and night with mine!  They took them to a movie and my kids had a ball.  You will have to ask them if they did.

Some how Tyler talked Emma into giving him massages all weekend long.

They took the kids over to Landon's brother's house to play with his nice and nephew, they all became fast friends.

 A little wii dancing was played!

 And some relaxing!

 Landon's sister came for the night and Emma some how talked her into playing Go Fish for over an hour.
