Day 5 - Friday - Showa Park

Today was a ton of fun. We hung out at the apartment and went to the BX and Commissary. After Joe's Dad got off work around noon we took our first train ride. we walked about 20 minutes to get to the train and road on the train for about 30 minutes to the Kinen Park. The flower festival was going on and so there were millions of the most beautiful flowers I have ever seen. I took so many pics (don't worry they are not all in the slide show). they had tons of fun things to do with the kids. I kept thinking how fun it would be to have a mom's group at a place like this! The Japanese people loved my kids! One even asked to take a picture with them, only Emma would cooperate. She just picked her up and put Emma in her lap.

Day 4 - Thursday - relaxing on base

Well thursday morning began way to early... This is Reagan at 2 AM wide awake and ready to play. The time change was hard for us all. Emma and tyler slept in until 5 so that was good.

It rains most days here and today was no diffirent. We wanted to get out of the apartement (We are staying in an apartment on base for a few days) so we went for a walk. It was cold and wet but the kids didn't seem to mind much!

Emma loves puddles and in the beginging we told her to stay out but on the walk back we let her have fun!
Watching a plane coming in.

Tyler on the very wet play ground!

Reagan being a wonderful baby!

Emma having fun!

After the walk they took a nice hot bath and we waited for Joe's dad to get off work so we could get some dinner and go bowling. It was our kids first time to bowl. We ate at the bowling alley on base. We didn't want to do much today so we could get use to the time change and relax!

And it is off!

Tyler only used this once he liked throwing the ball. Most times it would hit both sides of the bumpers 4 or 5 times before reaching the pins.

Leanna - she beat us all pretty badly!!!

Day 2 -Tuesday -More traveling

Well Tuesday morning we got up and headed to the airport. we parked in the long term parking so we took a bus over to the airport.
Emma and Joe ready to get the trip started!
We were told to get to the airport 3 hours early well it only took 25 minutes to check in and get to the terminal and we found out our plane was delayed an hour so we had almost 4 hours to hang out at the airport. We walked all over the airport and tried to tire the kids out for the 12 hour flight to Japan!

we flew Korean Air so we were one of the few that spoke English on the plane. When lunch came they gave us instructions on how to eat the food. They were all so friendly and wanted to talk to our kids the whole time. They gave the kids some fun sticker books and everyone got a little bag with socks, toothbrush and a sleeping mask. Above is Emma playing with the sticker book.

They have a bassinet for the babies to sleep. It hung on the wall.

Here is Tyler showing all the goodies in his bag.

Emma Sleeping

We finally arrived in Japan tired and ready to sleep. The drive to the Air force base was a little over 2 hours. We tried to keep the kids awake but they all fell asleep pretty fast.

Tyler struggling to stay awake.

Emma happy to be off the plane.

A few pics of Tokyo as we were driving to our apartment.

By the time we got to the apartment it was actually Thursday at 8pm!

Day 1 - monday - The drive

Well on Monday we drove to LA.. We stayed in a Hotel next to the airport. It wasn't the nicest place so when we went for a walk we were a little scared.

Let the Games begin!!!

After a month of practices game time is here!!! Tyler started out as the pitcher.

On the next hit the ball came to him again and this time he grabbed it and shouted "it's mine, It's mine." He was so proud of himself he didn't throw it to first.

Here he is ready for the ball. The second inning he played 2nd base he was a little bored.
And here are his biggest fans!

Jaxon

EMMA

(who spent more time playing with the chalk lines in the out field)REAGAN
Here he is batting. The second time he batted was much funnier but for some reason I took the video sideways... I always laugh at people who do that.

Here he is running home.... he needs to pick up the pace!!! His head is a little small for the helmet!
